What ingredients are in The Violet Effect candles?
The Violet Effect candles are made with a coconut wax blend, all natural phthalate-free essential oils, and a beeswax coated hemp wick. There are no toxins, preservatives, or dyes. Our candles are simple, natural, sustainable & luxurious.
Can I upcycle my candle jar?
Please do! After you enjoy your candle feel free to remove the last bit of wax in your vessel, we recommend briefly popping it into the freezer. Wipe it clean and use it to store your makeup brushes or pet treats, plant succulents in it, or any other creative thing you can think of!

Do your candles contain chemicals?
Absolutely not! All of our ingredients are clean and 100% paraben, phthalate, and cruelty free, making it fully safe to use around your family and pets.
How do I keep a clean & steady burn?
A general rule of thumb is to keep your candle away from a draft and always keep your wicks trimmed to about ¼ of an inch prior to being (re)lit. Make sure to keep your burn sessions limited to 3-4 hours and/or until the entire surface of the wax has fully melted. You can find more candle care tips here.
Can I send a candle as a gift?
Yes! Simply replace your shipping information at check out with that of your requested recipient. Also, leave a note at checkout if you wish for a personalized note to be left.
How fragrant are your candles?
Due to the natural nature of these candles, they are not overwhelming and can be used every day. However, we do not suggest lighting more than one candle at a time. While our candles are non-toxic, we recommend not to indulge in sensory overload. We suggest only burning your candle up to 4 hours at a time.
How long will my candle burn?
Burn times will vary depending on a different factors, however, based on 3-4 hour increment burn testing*, here are the average burn times:
14 oz | up to 90 hours
10 oz | up to 60 hours
*Please note: If you keep your candle burning for longer than 4 hours, it will burn through faster than our projected timeframes.
